WEDNESDAY 11 NOVEMBER
The organisers of Skyview at the Dubai Airshow work very closely with the Dubai Airports meteorological service. On Wednesday 11 November we were closely monitoring the weather situation and while we were aware of less than favourable conditions, it looked as though the flying display could go ahead as planned.
The problem came late in the morning when strong winds damaged part of the on-ground Skyview Arena (fences and decorations). The well-being and safety of our visitors, exhibitors and staff is of utmost importance and reluctantly the site was locked down to avoid putting anyone at risk of harm. This decision was not taken lightly and the cancellation message was transmitted as quickly as possible.
The organisers of Skyview would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused to anyone travelling to Wednesday's airshow. Wednesday tickets will be valid for Thursday's show or refunds will be offered to visitors who are unable to attend Thursday's show. Please check this website and social media for weather updates before travelling.
Once again, apologies and thank you for your support.
